The third meeting of the Health Assembly 2008 Organizing Committee was hosted by the Thai Chamber of Commerce on April 18, 2008. In the meeting, the Democrat Party’s Shadow Deputy Public Health Minister – Dr. Buranat Samuttarak, who represented the opposition party, also attended as an adviser to the Committee.
Dr.Samuttarak said “In the Health Assembly, everyone wears the same colored hat and attends as equal members of the network. There are no sides taken”. This is a good news to the Committee to have the political sector interested and willing to join. Another good news to the Committee is that Mr. Samak Sundaravej, the Prime Minister, has already accepted with pleasure to be the Committee’s adviser and we do hope he will attend future Committee meetings. At the third meeting of the Health Assembly 2008 Organizing Committee, Drafted Guideline for Organizing the National Health Assembly was finally approved and will be officially publicized very soon.
