Dr. Suwit Wibulpolprasert (Chairman of the Thai National Health Assembly 2008 Organizing Committee) and Mrs. Kannikar Bunteongjit (Deputy Secretary-General of the National Health Commission Office) led a team from Thai National Health Assembly 2008 Organizing Committee to join 61st World Health Assembly (WHA) during 18-24 May 2008. 
In WHA, the Thai National Health Assembly 2008 and Asia Pacific Regional Health Impact Assessment (HIA) Conference 2008 hosted by Thailand in December this year were both announced and introduced to delegates from the South East Asian Region (SEAR). In addition, Dr. Suwit Wibulpolprasert also invited Director-General of WHO and Ministers from India, Sri Lanka, Uganda and Brazil as honorable guests to participate in the First Thailand’s National Health Assembly 2008 for sharing their experiences on health assemblies.
