Social Participation in Health Financing: Advancing Equity, Trust and Accountability for UHC
1. Objectives
The fourth episode of the social participation webinar series, co-hosted by WHO and NHCO with support from UHC2030, aims to advance global learning and exchange on how to institutionalise social participation in health financing policy processes.
As countries face growing financial pressures and difficult health financing trade-offs, meaningful participation of people, communities and civil society can help make policies more equitable, responsive, accountable and trusted. Through technical presentations and interactive panels, the webinar will explore key features, country experiences, challenges and lessons for strengthening social participation in health financing.

- Clarify the rationale for social participation in health financing reforms.
- Explore country experiences, success factors and challenges.
- Identify recommendations to strengthen and institutionalise social participation in health financing processes.
